Ferry, Harbor and Maritime Heritage
Jadrolinija’s ferry route 432 connects the mainland with Tkon on the island of Pašman. The crossing from Biograd takes about 20 minutes. This is a specific reference point for planning your journey. Timetables and fares may change, so check both before you travel.
The Maritime Heritage Interpretation Centre Tkon focuses on exhibits about the town’s past. These include traditional skills and tools from boatbuilding, fishing and agriculture. This offers a look at maritime Tkon that extends beyond the harbor to different areas of work in the town’s history. The centre is accessible by car, bicycle and on foot; access is seasonal. Churches and Dalmatian Architecture
The parish church of Sv. Toma apostola is listed in Croatia’s Register of Cultural Heritage. In the centre of Tkon is also the church of Sv. Antuna opata, built in 1672. Above the town, on Kalvarija Hill, stands the 18th-century church of Gospe od sedam žalosti. A stone staircase with 101 steps and the Stations of the Cross leads to the summit. Together, the churches represent different historical reference points, from a construction date to officially listed cultural heritage.

Coast, Beach and Bay
Outside the centre, almost the entire coastline consists of natural beaches. They were formed by continuous sand deposits and are considered a geomorphological phenomenon in Croatia. Zaklopica Bay provides natural shelter for sailboats and yachts from all winds. The coastline therefore offers different features side by side: natural stretches of beach and a bay that serves as a point of reference for sailboats and yachts.
Trails with Different Destinations
The 9.9-kilometre Adventurous Byzantine Trail runs from Tkon via Zaklopica Bay and Pustograd and back to Tkon. The Adventure Trail is 9.5 kilometres long and runs from Tkon to Pustograd and back. Although almost the same length, the two routes have different named destinations: Zaklopica is part of the described Adventurous Byzantine Trail route. The difference in length is 0.4 kilometres.
Another option is the marked tourist hiking trail from Tkon ferry port to Ugrinića Dvori. The four-kilometre route runs mostly along the sea and can also be cycled. Check trail conditions locally. From the Straža viewpoint, the view extends across the Kornati Archipelago, Vransko jezero, Ravni Kotari and the Velebit mountain range.
Near Tkon, two kilometres northwest of the town, the Benedictine monastery of Sv. Kuzme i Damjana stands on 95-metre-high Ćokovac. It is a Category 0 cultural monument. This gives you a choice of specific points of interest for your plans, including trails of different lengths, historic buildings and coastal locations.
