The Legović family has been producing wine in Mekiši kod Kaštelira since 1937. The Legovina winery produces twelve wine labels in four categories. Legovina’s vineyards are predominantly planted with Istrian Malvasia; Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, White Muscat, Teran, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc are also grown. Legovina cultivates twelve hectares of vineyards on deep red soil at an altitude of 150 to 250 metres.

Legovina’s wines are available in the winery’s cellar. Wine tastings at Legovina require advance registration. O.P.G. Matković is also part of the local offering with a stand at Mekiši 5, where seasonal vegetables and preserved foods are sold. O.P.G. Matković processes vegetables and fruit into šalša, peperonata and marmelada.
