Čiritež: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Čiritež is associated with a karst field that also includes cultivated areas and forms part of the rural karst landscape of the Buzet area.

Culture and History

In Čiritež, masses are celebrated on 16 May in honour of Saint John of Nepomuk and on 21 November in honour of Our Lady of Good Health. The Church of Our Lady of Good Health is a sacred building in Čiritež and has been mentioned since 1580. It was extensively restored in 1891 and blessed in 1894. Next to the road near Čiritež, a cornerstone is also visible, marking the beginning of the façade of the former Church of Saint John of Nepomuk.

Nature and Trails

The Napoleon Bridge, a standalone monument, is located in the vicinity of Čiritež in the Buzet area. The area in which it is situated belongs to the Natura 2000 ecological network. The path to the Napoleon Bridge turns onto a small road towards Cunj in Čiritež. Also nearby, the Seven Waterfalls Trail is considered a 15-kilometre, five-hour route.

Activities

The sport climbing site in Čiritež comprises three routes graded 6c–7c. It is considered suitable for rainy days; climbing there is not recommended in summer.
