The 50-kilometre EuroVelo 8 section from Dubrovnik to Vitaljina reaches Zvekovica at kilometre 18.

Culture and History

In the municipality of Konavle, the Ćiro railway operated from 1901 to 1968; along the route, remains of railway stations, platforms, tunnels and bridges have been preserved.

Also in the municipality of Konavle, the lower mill system on the Ljuta was built after 1550 and has been preserved to this day.

Fort Sokol was an important fortress of the Republic of Dubrovnik at the mountain pass towards the Bosnian hinterland.

Nature

The source and upper course of the Ljuta are protected as a nature park, while the watermill is protected as a cultural monument.
