Vukšin Šipak: Vacation Apartments and Holiday Homes
On October 15, 2023, the long-distance race of the 46th Stipica Mesić–Ačak Memorial took place in Vukšin Šipak as a race in the Croatian Orienteering Cup. During the competition, the start was located directly next to the assembly area, while the warm-up took place on the football field.

The Krašić III orienteering map was used for the 2023 event. Eighty percent of the terrain had never previously been used for a competition. The orienteering terrain near Vukšin Šipak is considered varied continental terrain with predominantly easily passable and generally open forest; some sections have a lot of branches and undergrowth.
The event program also included the 23rd Zagreb Open long-distance orienteering race, which was scheduled to take place in Krašić and Vukšin Šipak on July 23, 2023. Traditionally, homemade products and food were offered in the finish area of the 2023 event.
Culture and History
The Chapel of Sv. Stjepan is located in Vukšin Šipak. It was built toward the end of the 20th century and follows a local tradition of chapel construction that has been preserved to this day. The history of the estate also goes back a long way: in 1497 or 1498, Prince Bernardin Frankapan donated the Vukšin Šipak estate to Valentin Hotković. In 1621, King Ferdinand II confirmed the donation of the estate to Martin, Juraj, Gašpar and Franjo Hotković, as well as to the second Gašpar Hotković-Peharnik.
A donation from the Vukšin Šipak branch school significantly enriched the ethnographic collection of the Gradski muzej Jastrebarsko with numerous new museum objects.

The wider Jastrebarsko area offers numerous marked hiking trails to Japetić and Plešivica. The Žitnica mountain lodge on Japetić offers meals, drinks and overnight accommodation.
