Kopački rit Nature Park is located near Lug. It is a protected inland delta and floodplain at the confluence of the Drava and Danube, with well-developed floodplain forests, significant birdlife and fish spawning habitats.

Culture and History

A Reformed Christian church is located in the centre of Lug and is connected with a complex religious history. It was intended to be a Marian shrine; in 1697, a procession took place with a statue of Mary from Osijek, and the church was later converted for Calvinist use.

It focuses on ground paprika, local food and drinks, cultural performances and Hungarian traditions; it is celebrated on the first weekend of October.
