Nedelišće: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

The first printed book in the Kajkavian language, Decretum by Ivan Pergošić, was published in Nedelišće in 1574. The printer Rudolf Hoffhalter printed the Decretum in Nedelišće after Juraj IV Zrinski invited him to do so.

Culture and History

The church houses a six-metre-high Gothic custodia created by an unknown Late Gothic stonemason. The church is also considered to be the site of the oldest statue of Our Lady of Lourdes in Croatia.

The Ceker tradition is also practised in Nedelišće: female artisans continue to make and decorate Ceker. At the Cekara Festival 2026 in Nedelišće, the programme included an exhibition of handmade Ceker and workshops led by experienced female artisans.

Landscape and Nature

The landscape of Nedelišće consists of forests, streams and canals and is home to a rich flora and fauna. Platana u Nedelišću is the oldest protected natural site in Međimurje and is also among the largest plane trees in Croatia.

The municipality of Nedelišće has more than 100 kilometres of cycling and hiking trails, as well as more than 20 natural, cultural, historical and sporting points of interest.

The Hrastov hlad cycling route is 31.59 kilometres long, is classified as easy and runs on an asphalt-macadam surface. It starts and ends at 60 Maršala Tita Street in Nedelišće.

The Sport Hub Nedelišće includes a fitness centre and a wellness centre with a sauna, jacuzzi and solarium. It also has a specialised gymnastics hall and a multifunctional sports hall suitable for gymnastics, handball, basketball, volleyball, badminton, five-a-side football, as well as cultural or business events.

The Martin restaurant in Nedelišće is associated with Međimurje specialities, including Turoš, meat preserved in a wooden container and međimurska gibanica.
