Culture
In the centre of Đurmanec, on elevated ground near a road intersection, stands the parish church of St George, dedicated to Saint George (“Church of St George”). It is registered as protected immovable cultural heritage under registration number Z-2096. It was built from 1939 to 1942, while the bell tower was constructed in 1975. Renovation took place in 2001; in 2002, a mosaic depicting Jesus, Mary and Joseph was installed on the façade.
Around 80 active members are involved in eight sections at KUD Đurmanec, encompassing drama, folklore, tamburitza music and vocal performances. KUD Đurmanec preserves Zagorje traditions through local customs, dances, songs, music and traditional dress.

Nature and cycling
The “Over the Slopes of Macelj Mountain” route leads through wooded areas, past viewpoints in the mountains and through sections offering unobstructed views of the gentle hills of Zagorje. It also includes a rest stop for cyclists.
The “Sutla” cycling route reaches Đurmanec near the source of the Sutla River.

For Tusto čelo, PD Husni lists planned work activities. At Tusto čelo, PD Husni, DND Đurmanec and Općina Đurmanec organised the hiking and camping event “Planinarenje – zdrava avantura”.
Geographical location
Đurmanec is located on the Zagreb–Krapina–Rogatec railway line, a cross-border railway corridor towards Slovenia.
