Culture and History

The present-day stone-built Chapel of Saint Panteleimon in Pavlovac was constructed in 1905–06. Inside, there is an iconostasis created by Jovan Četirević-Grabovan in 1778.

Pavlovac is also associated with the chapel dedicated to Saints Peter and Paul, which local residents built in 1912 and which historically belonged to the parish of Veliki Grđevac. The Chapel of Saints Peter and Paul and a branch chapel of Saint Panteleimon are recorded for Pavlovac. During renovation work to remedy longstanding dampness, the interior was replastered, insulated and tiled. The chapel also received new entrance doors.

Kolo is associated with Pavlovac. The fortified earthwork is located in a wooded area north of Pavlovac, between the Česma River, the old Česma railway station and the Roviški konak forest. Its central, circular mound measures 40 to 50 metres in diameter. Two ditches and ramparts are visible there today.

Things to Do

Moto Klub Pavlovac uses the motocross track next to the village hall for training. Official competitions were held on this track in the past, attracting thousands of people.

A one-kilometre-long footpath has also been completed in Pavlovac.
