West of Bol lies Zlatni Rat, a nearly half-kilometre-long pebble spit whose tip is continuously reshaped by wind and sea currents.

Vidova Gora rises above Bol at 778 metres, is accessible via an asphalt road or hiking trails, and offers views of Zlatni Rat.

Culture and History
The Dominican Monastery in Bol was founded in the 15th century and was an important spiritual and cultural centre of Brač for centuries. The Dominican Monastery Museum displays Adriatic amphorae and archaeological finds, Venetian works of art, liturgical objects and Glagolitic books.
Bol’s historic town centre, shaped by its harbour, includes a Baroque summer residence, the Loža with its church, a Renaissance-Baroque palace with an art gallery, a parish church, Kaštil, stone alleyways and forms of vernacular architecture.
The Branislav Dešković Gallery is located in a 17th-century Renaissance-Baroque palace on Bol’s harbourfront. It houses more than 400 modern and contemporary works, including sculptures by Ivan Rendić, Ivan Meštrović, Antun Augustinčić and Branislav Dešković.
Trails and Activities
Trail 767 Bol begins in the centre of Bol, passes the Dominican Monastery, follows a gravel path through olive groves and returns to the town via the old road before passing Zlatni Rat beach.
Trail 768 Bol – Vidova Gora – Bol leads from the centre of Bol past Zlatni Rat and Murvica to Vidova Gora and then back to Bol.
The Potočine Tennis Center in Bol has more than 20 clay courts and a central tennis stadium and has hosted major tennis tournaments.
Harbour and Events
The harbour of Bol has a berth for yachts and serves as a port of call for excursion boats and sailors.
Bolsko lito takes place from June to October and includes the weekly Bolska litnja noć, classical concerts in the Dominican Monastery and summer exhibitions at the Bol Cultural Centre Gallery.
Bolsko Lignjadura is a traditional event in Bol that combines a competition with food and live music.
