Coast and Landscape

The resort is located on a natural terrace approximately 10–15 metres above the sea. Deciduous forest extends almost to the shore. The beach stretches for more than 3.5 kilometres, and the resort offers 55,000 square metres of fine sandy beach. Water skiing is available on the beaches; pleasant walks are also possible there.

The University Botanical Garden–Ecopark Varna is described as Bulgaria’s first ecopark and is located nearby.

Thermal Water and History

There are seven thermal mineral springs in the resort. AQUAHOUSE Thermal & Beach has 14 indoor and outdoor facilities with mineral water, while Health Spring SPA has 26 treatment rooms.

The resort developed around the Monastery of Saints Constantine and Helena, which is described as a cultural and historical landmark. The monastery was destroyed during the Russo-Turkish War of 1828–1829. The “Touching Nature” open-air sculpture event brings sculptors from all over Bulgaria together.

Getting Around the Resort

The resort is geared towards exploring on foot: the attractions are close to one another, and there are extensive pedestrian areas. Bus routes 31a, 9, 109 and 409 connect Varna with the resort. St. Konstantin and Elena is located 9 kilometres northeast of Varna city centre on European route E87.
