The Antique Fortress at Cape St. Athanasius was opened to visitors in 2014 following a restoration and conservation project. The complex includes Winery No. 1, a preserved production and storage building with a lever spindle press.
Byala is associated with viticulture and winemaking and is described as a place where Dimyat wine is produced.
