The Church of Saint Mina is located in Marchino, where a festive liturgy was celebrated on November 11, 2022. A local cultural institution in Marchino was included in a municipal cultural infrastructure project.

Before the liberation, Marchino was known as Kyuchyuk Enidje and later as Kyuchyuk. The place adopted its present name on August 14, 1934.

The Kalakoch Plateau is described as the highest part of the Popovo Heights, at 488 meters. It is accessible to pedestrians from Popovo and Kovachevets; in clear weather, extensive views over villages, rivers, and reservoirs are described from there.

The third-class road TGV3144 is designated from Dolna Kabda to Marchino.
