Culture and History
The local heritage includes the Round Church, which is also known as the Golden Church or the Church of Saint John. It is a large, partially preserved early medieval Eastern Orthodox church in Preslav.
The Round Church dates from the early 10th century, from the reign of Tsar Simeon I, and was first archaeologically investigated in 1927–1928.
