The Madara Rider is a rock relief from the early 8th century, carved into an almost vertical limestone cliff and listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Anyone wishing to rent a holiday apartment in Madara can then continue searching for accommodation.
The annual village day in Madara is associated with Saint George and the Madara Rider and takes place at the foot of the rider. The village also has a folk singing group as well as a children’s and youth folk dance ensemble.

An ecological educational trail in the Madara Reserve leads through an area characterized by rare plant and animal species. The reserve combines limestone cliffs, caves, a spring, and diverse natural landscapes.
The cliff face contains numerous natural caves that were formerly used as churches, chapels, monastic retreats, and burial sites.

The wider regional area around Madara includes the Preslav Archaeological Museum, Tarnov Dyal, Veliki Preslav, Kartaltepe, and Otaka. Sakartepe is also located in the vicinity of Madara.
