Zelenigrad: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

A signposted educational trail leads from the outskirts of Zelenigrad to Shili Kamik. The route is 1.25 km long in one direction; nine information boards cover local history, flora, and fauna. Hiking

The Zelenigrad–Mount Ruy route leads via Shili Kamik, Tsareva Church, and Tsvetanovo Izhle onward toward the summit. It is physically demanding and climbs nearly 1,000 meters in elevation over less than 5 km.

The Zelenigrad–Ruy route to the summit is marked in red; green and yellow side trails lead to nearby attractions. There is no water along the route, so hikers should bring sufficient supplies.

Culture and History

At the foot of Shili Kamik lies Tsareva Church, a rock church in a natural cave. Its entrance forms an approximately 4 m-high rock arch and opens onto views across the valley of the Zelenigrad River.

The remains of an ancient fortress near Zelenigrad include preserved sections of wall as well as fragments of ancient building materials and household pottery.

Manastir Sveta Bogoroditsa is located in the surrounding area of Zelenigrad. The wider regional surroundings of Zelenigrad also include Manastir Sveta Bogoroditsa, Manastir Svetog Jovana, and Karaula Obrenovačka.
