A marked trail spanning 18 km and taking approximately five hours connects Yablanitsa with Saeva Dupka and descends to Brestnitsa. The route is marked in red; there are no springs or wells along the way.

The Brestnitsa–Saeva Dupka excursion can be extended to include the nearby Great Lednitsa and Small Lednitsa caves, as well as Via Ferrata Lednitsa. A stop at the nearby Blue Ostriches Farm is also possible.

Geographical Setting

Gradeshnishka Peshtera is a cave located approximately in the surrounding area of Brestnitsa. The wider regional area includes, among others, Temnata Dupka Cave and the Orlovets and Chal Tepe mountains.

The area around Brestnitsa is associated with local specialities such as aged plum brandy, spit-roasted lamb, prosenik and sireneva chorba. Rural excursions and horse-drawn carriage rides to nearby sights are also available.
