About 1.5 km southwest of Hlevene lies Svirliv Kladenets. The spring is described as a musical karst spring and a natural phenomenon found nowhere else in Bulgaria.

Local activities to preserve the cultural heritage include reviving the customs “Bulgarian Wedding from the Last Century” and “Koleduvane,” as well as authentic circle-dance songs and dances.

Since 2009, the Hlevene community center has collected and displayed an ethnographic collection. In addition, efforts are being made to restore local traditions and customs.
