History and Culture

The fortified palace of a Thracian ruler near Tatarmasha above Knyazhevo is dated to the middle of the fourth century BC. Route 3 runs through Knyazhevo and passes close to the Tatarmasha site, which is associated with a large Thracian ruler's residence from the Hellenistic period.

Knyazhevo is also home to the Church of Saint Demetrius. The town's community centre “Razvitie–1932” has an authentic folklore group called “Pastar buket”.
