Sattledt combines activities for active days with opportunities to discover nature and culture. These include the trail park, the Wirte-Runde, the biotope in Unterhart, the stone park and the parish church. If you like to alternate activity with quieter experiences, this selection offers a range of options. When looking for a holiday apartment, it also helps to first consider which side of Sattledt you would like to shape your stay.

Trail Park, Wirte-Runde and Motor Skills Park

Sattledt Trail Park has seven trails of varying difficulty over a total distance of around 1.5 kilometres. This approximate total length refers to the park as a whole, not to each individual trail. The park is free to use. As conditions of use and routes may change, check the latest information from the municipality before your visit. When choosing a trail, you can match its difficulty to your personal ability.

The Wirte-Runde is a hiking trail that is also suitable for cyclists and runners. This sets it apart from the trail park: here, the focus is on a named route, while the park offers a choice of seven trails with different levels of difficulty. Which option better suits your plans therefore also depends on whether you are looking for a hiking route that can also be used for cycling and running, or would rather choose among the park’s trails.

Another option is the Motor Skills Park, which anyone can use in their own way. This gives Sattledt a separate activity option in addition to the route and the trail park.

Nature and Geological Development

At the biotope in Unterhart, stone benches and an observation platform invite you to linger. The rich vegetation and the insects that have settled there in a very short time shape this natural area. Here, the focus is more on observing and spending time than on choosing between different routes.

The landscape itself also tells the story of its formation: two moraine flows from the Traun and Enns plateaus created the characteristic foothills of the Alps. At the stone park, numerous stones collected from across Upper Austria illustrate the region’s geological development. The park is being created close to the centre, along the so-called Kanalweg; it begins by the tourist information hut. If you are looking for this starting point, follow the signs on site.

Parish Church and Building History

The Roman Catholic parish church of Sattledt is a landmark of the municipality. Its architecture is described as Neo-Baroque. Construction began in 1926; it was completed five years later, and the church was consecrated. Its history adds another perspective on Sattledt—architecture and local history—to the geological theme of the stone park.

When choosing a holiday apartment, you can first decide what matters most to you: the trail park and the Wirte-Runde offer different route options; the biotope and the foothills of the Alps focus on nature; and the stone park and parish church represent geology and architectural history. Then check how well the location of a particular accommodation suits the places you plan to visit. This way, your base reflects your interests and your own plans.
