Wendling: Churches and Active Days
Accommodation in Wendling
In addition to its parish church, Wendling in Upper Austria offers smaller historic buildings and sports facilities. If you are looking for a holiday apartment, you can start by choosing between local history and an active day. The amenities and availability of each apartment can only be determined from the listing.
Churches and Chapels
A building dedicated to St. Ulrich is documented as dating from around 1200 to 1220. The originally Gothic parish church was remodelled and enlarged in 1508; its spire is 48 metres high. The Fellmaier Chapel was built in 1996 to replace a dilapidated chapel and was consecrated in 1997. The wooden Rappoltsberg Chapel is estimated to be 300 years old and was moved to its present location in 1984. These dates concern different buildings and should not be presented as a single construction history. A plague column at the entrance to the village has a history spanning more than 400 years.
