The Lechweg trail also passes through the village on the stage to Stanzach. The ninth Lechweg stage also leads to the former mountain station of the Vorderhornbach ski lift. From there, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Vorderhornbach and the Lech Valley. The Vorderhornbach–Elmen circular hiking trail includes another natural highlight: the Martinauer Au lady’s-slipper orchid area is located in the vicinity of Vorderhornbach, directly along the circular trail. A detour there is worthwhile from mid-May to mid-June. Those looking for a viewpoint with a cultural touch can include the Baichlstein. The viewpoint offers a view of the Lechzopf; at the highest point is the “Porta Alpinae” land art installation by artist Guenter Rauch.

Trails for a variety of holiday days

For a short loop, the Vorderhornbach–Kleine Feldrunde begins and ends at the Vorderhornbach municipal building. It is 1.40 km long and can easily be included in the day’s plans as a small activity in its own right. The Vorderhornbach–Hornbachrunde begins and ends at the Badino adventure pool and is described as an easy circular hike. The Hornbachtal valley offers numerous nature and holiday activities, including options for hikers and mountaineers as well as families. Anglers have the opportunity to fish in the Hornbach.

The Badino nature adventure pool is a family-friendly vitality pool fed with spring water from the Grubachspitze. In winter, the outdoor pool becomes an ice-skating rink. Alongside it runs the illuminated, 1 km-long Vorderhornbach-Feldrunde cross-country ski trail. The Kleine Feldrunde is then described as an easy cross-country skiing route for both classic technique and skating. Village history and a distinctive viewpoint

In the middle of the village, the Expositur Church of Saint John the Baptist stands on a small hill. Construction began in 1752, and the church was consecrated in summer 1782. After a devastating fire in 1947, it was rebuilt. The present high altar, the figures and the frescoes inside date from the period after 1950. The church thus complements the natural experiences with a place where the development of the village and its more recent architectural history can be traced.
