Eisentratten: Discover Churches and Blast Furnace History

A prominent point of reference is the Evangelical Church of Eisentratten, which dates from 1803. Inside, there is a Baroque altar with four Evangelists from 1805. The preserved Türggenhaus complements this focus. It was the former residence of the iron entrepreneur Jakob Türgg, who built this blast furnace.

A few precise location details are helpful for finding your way around the area. The Türggenhaus is located west of the federal road on a side road. This branches off at the blast furnace and rejoins the main road after about 300 m at the Gasthof Post. The Catholic Church of Peace is located on the federal road in the immediate vicinity of the Konstantin blast furnace.

The excursion route from Eisentratten follows the B99 along the Lieser and onwards to Kremsbrücke. At Kremsbrücke, the route turns onto the L19 towards Innerkrems.
