The old court mill houses the Emigration Museum and the second part of the exhibition, dedicated to Josef Reichl. The Emigration Museum documents the emigration of thousands of people from Burgenland, mainly to the USA, at the beginning of the previous century. The second part of the exhibition is dedicated to the Güssing dialect poet Josef Reichl, who described the fate of the inhabitants of the border region in his works.

Nature, Trails and Special Perspectives

For a quieter day, the circular hiking trail around the Güssing Fish Ponds Ramsar site is an ideal choice. The trail invites you to enjoy nature at a gentle pace and provides information about the area's natural treasures. Those who prefer longer excursions will find a starting point in Güssing for extended hikes or cycling tours through the Weinidylle Nature Park.

The traces of botanist Carolus Clusius also make the town an especially engaging place to explore. Seven information boards distributed throughout Güssing tell the story of his life, work and significance. Along the Carolus Clusius stations, flowerbeds display typical plants according to the season that Carolus Clusius discovered or catalogued.
