Kuzun: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

A hiking route between Laza and Kuzun leads through the valley of the Gusarchay River. Along the way, hikers encounter steep rock faces, waterfalls and light woodland. The Laza–Kuzun hiking route is around 6.5 kilometres long, takes approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes, and descends along the Gusarchay towards Kuzun before reaching the main road into the settlement.

The Kuzun–Yergi Kek trail offers views of subalpine meadows, the steep rock faces of Mount Shahdag and the plateau of Mount Gizilgaya. The trail also reaches a viewpoint above the steep rock faces of Mount Shahdag. The trail signage is clearly visible throughout the route.

Nature

Qusar District is home to a state reserve covering 15,000 hectares. The Alistan-baba beech forest, which covers seven hectares in Qusar District, is also located near Urva.

Culture

Carpet weaving, artistic embroidery and wood engraving are well established in Qusar District. Flour-based dishes are particularly popular locally.

Kuzun has a guesthouse. There are no cafés or restaurants there, nor are there any public springs. Local taxis can take visitors from the centre of Gusar to Kuzun.

No prior permission is required for the Kuzun–Yergi Kek trail. It passes neither through a specially protected natural area nor through a border security zone.
