Yangikishlak: Vacation Apartments and Holiday Homes

Nature

The Nurota Nature Reserve is located in the central part of the Nurota Mountains in the Jizzakh Region and covers approximately 17,800 hectares. It was established to protect the population of Severtzov's wild sheep.

The Nurota State Nature Reserve lists the 2,000-year-old Oriental arborvitae near Upper Mojrum as an ecotourism site.

In the wider surroundings of the Nurota Nature Reserve, there is a 16-hectare enclosure near Upper Hayot for keeping and breeding Severtzov's wild sheep. Guesthouses are also operating in Upper Hayot, Upper Uhum, Asrof, and Porasht.

Culture and History

A major historical transit trade route of regional importance passed through Bog'don over mountain passes toward Sogdia.

The folkloric and ethnographic folk ensemble “Bogdon” performs songs, lapars, aitys, and examples of oral folk art that reflect the history, customs, and traditions of Forish District. At the international folklore festival “Boysun bahori,” the ensemble “Bog‘don” took first place in the category of national folk games and performing arts.

The group “Bogʻdon gullari” has operated under this name since 1982.

Routes and Connections

State road D048 runs through Forish District and follows the 90-kilometer route Jizzakh – Bog'don – Qizilcha – D191.

Nuratau Travel is based in Bog'don, formerly known as Yangiqishloq. Minibuses and shared taxis regularly depart from this location for Jizzakh's Gorod bus station; there is no direct public bus connection from Tashkent to Yangiqishloq, the former name of Bog'don.

The Sovurbel Pass connects Bog'don with Qarobdol and Garasha. In spring, it is considered particularly scenic because of its beautiful landscapes. Teahouses have been built at the foot of a spring on the northern slope of the pass so that travelers can rest.
