Camyuva: Beach, Trails and Nature
Accommodation in Camyuva
Camyuva combines a beach about 3 kilometres long with orange trees, coastal paths and green spaces. There is also a variety of experiences to choose from: from spending time by the sea to walking and cycling routes, as well as a section of the Lycian Way that leads to the ancient city of Phaselis. Which of these aspects appeals to you most may help determine where you look for a holiday apartment.
Beach and sea
In addition to hotel beaches, Çamyuva has a public beach that day visitors can use. Kemer Çamyuva Halk Plajı has a shoreline of about 350 metres and an area of 33,261 square metres. Both the approximate length of the shoreline and the designated area provide concrete points of reference if the beach setting is your main priority. The beaches of Çamyuva are considered warm, and swimming in the sea is considered possible for eight months of the year.
The beach is not the only way to spend time outdoors, however. Orange trees are also part of Çamyuva’s landscape. If you do not want to focus your stay exclusively on the sea, the area also offers walking paths and green spaces. When choosing where to spend your holiday, you can weigh up whether the beach, outdoor activities or a combination of both is most important for your trip.
Trails and open spaces
The recreation area on Çamyuva Deniz Caddesi includes a 900-metre walking path, along with running and cycling paths that are each 1,200 metres long. The separate path lengths offer different ways to stay active in the area: you can consider a walk, a run or a cycle ride without treating these options as the same. The area has been opened for public use with 14 pergolas, a playground, two sports areas, a lighting system and green spaces. The playground is one specific feature that families can take into account when getting their bearings in the area.
There is also a landscaped green space along Ağva Deresi, with a newly created walking path and a recreation area. Together with the recreation area on Deniz Caddesi, it shows that there are other open spaces in the area besides the beach. This distinction may matter when looking for a holiday apartment: decide whether you want to focus your stay mainly on the sea or also take paths and green spaces into account when choosing an area.
A section of the Lycian Way
A section of the Lycian Way about 4 kilometres long runs from Alacasu Bay, which is part of Çamyuva, to the ancient city of Phaselis. The section of the route associated with Çamyuva is considered a trail where the sea and greenery merge.
Alacasu is designated as a day-use area of Beydağları Coastal National Park. Phaselis is nearby and is considered a place worth visiting. Olympos is also nearby and is considered worth seeing. If you are interested in the Lycian Way, both the trail described here and these two places offer different points of interest for planning your trip.
A covered market
The area also has a covered market with five permanent shops and space for 116 vendor stalls. If you want to take local life into account as well as beaches and trails when choosing a holiday apartment, the market can be another point of reference.
